India Bans 59 Chinese Apps: Might Be A Permanent Ban

In the wake of a massive spike in tensions between India and China following the Galwan Valley clash, The Government of India has announced a ban on 59 Chinese Apps including most popular TikTok, UC Browser, CamScanner, ShareIt, etc.  Indian government officials said they plan to impose higher trade barriers and raise import duties on around 300 products from China. India currently has a $59.3bn trade deficit with China, with 11% of India’s imports coming from China. Government has decided to disallow the usage of these apps both in mobile and non-mobile Internet-enabled devices; due to diverting data and compromising privacy of users.  Over the last couple of months there has been tremendous amount of Information Technology activity from the Chinese sites. ISRO Bets Big On Private Sector Over Indian Space Fortune

ISRO Chairman K Sivan, in a press briefing on Thursday, June 25, made an announcement of opening up of India's space sector to private players. “We have received requests for all the sectors. Launch vehicle sector, satellite sectors, applications sector, all the sectors people are interested in taking part. And I am sure they will be able to make use of the new system that we are proposing.” said Sivan. Earlier, during his press briefing, Sivan had elaborated that private sector can “play a larger role than being just a supplier of parts and components.”He had stated that the Department of Space will promote private sector space activities “to enable it to provide end-to-end space services like building and launching of rockets and satellites as well as providing space-based services on commercial basis. ” India's contribution to Global Space Economy is only 3% . Canada expels Huawei from the game of 5G, following US, UK and Australia

Two of Canada's biggest Telecom Companies, Bell Canada and Telus have expelled Huawei from 5G network Partnership. The Chinese Tech Giant Huawei  has be en alleged several times of stealing intellectual data from foreign technology companies, posing too many national security threats already. On June 2, 2020, Bell Canada and Telus Mobility announced their 5G Network Partners who are the rivals of Huawei.  Bell Canada announced Tuesday morning that Sweden-based Ericsson will be its second supplier of the radio access network equipment that has been Huawei’s main product line in Canada since entering the market in 2008.  Later in the day, Telus Corp announced that it had also selected Ericsson, as well of  Nokia of Finland, as suppliers for its 5G networks.
